Negative Factual News...remington 700s kill people.

Quote....a person who intentionally tries to instigate onflict, hostility, or arguments not inflicting or pursuing either. **I am not....You are.

My Goal is to warn/make clear that the remington 700 actions are not safe. have a gross reputation for firing without the trigger even being touched.

this is not a firearm anyone should use or own.

for safety sake. wake up bud.

last rifle I ever want a loved one to own. I will never even hunt with a person who uses one....period. bye. good night.

That's some funny stuff right there. <LOL>

There are literally millions of 700's in use. How many issues again? What? Single digits? So what do you think your odds are? Sorry, your "expertise" is misplaced. - dan

That's funny. Calling Guntech new. Probably no other gunsmith in Canada with more experience with Rem 700 stock triggers than him. And then saying he won't hunt with someone who uses a Rem 700. You won't be missed my friend.

NHunter, I hope you realize that what you are saying is not quite true! While we are at it, ... can you tell us what versions of the Remington 700 were affected?

Can you tell us what manufacturing years were affected by the Remington Walker trigger issue or the X-Mark Pro trigger issue?

Can you tell us what trigger versions are totally save .... and which ones are known for the issues that you are alluding to?

Lets get the facts straight here! Shall we?

And can you tell us if a Remington 700 would be totally save with an aftermarket trigger?

Hi Guys, new here, big Remington 700 fan, I'm currently using a 95' detachable mag and '81 ADL, both in 30- 06,

I got into things because I'm into astronomy and had developed an eyepiece to help alleviate 'environmental glare' for telescopes, a friend of mine who was a hunter in the arctic asked me to develop a foam 'scope shield' for his rifle. I got the itch from that point on. I wasn't sure what rifle to get, like most I looked at Tikkas and others, I ordered a Walnut Lupo but that's been back ordered for a bit, loved the Lupo but then I started watching the 'Last of Us' and that got me an itch for the 700, the ADL that Bill was shooting and Joel's BDL.

I tried a few of them, I was mostly looking at older ones and found a mint condition DM with beautiful wood and a well worn ADL, Ive built my protoype on my ADL with the Vortex Viper glass, the BDL has a Swarovski z3.

For the foam piece I noticed that in most cases people would get 3 different types of sunshades, 42, 50 and 56 mm, with this piece you'd be able to adjust it to whatever environment conditions you encounter, even cut to fit, the foam is hydrophobic and highly heat resistant surpassing even milspec standards (200 degrees)

Anyhow, just thought I'd say hello !

8mm Rem Mag, not sure of the grade, but it is a step up from other BDL rifles I have handled. This rifle was a hunting mentor's, but I did not even know he owned it. My uncle was his closest friend, and when he passed he asked if I wanted "Ernie's big 8". My uncle stated he had ordered it into the gun shop, and wasn't a standard BDL. It sounded like he had fired two rounds out of it, after my uncle fired five rounds to get it sighted in. When Ernie died my uncle said he found the original box of ammo he had bought with it, and the remaining 13 loaded rounds were still there.

I have killed a couple elk with it, with spectacular results, using 220 gr Sierra Gamekings.

That is Remingtons answer to the .340 Weatherby Magnum... every bit as potent...

Here's a SS 30-06 in an old Brown Precision. This is the 5th rifle I've owned in this stock.

7mag, 300H&H, 358NM and 35Whelen previously. This stock is 2nd to none for handling recoil.

That's a beauty. And yes, the big 8 will do whatever the 340 bee can. - dan
