It's a factory Seven CDL 350 Mag put into a Wildcat srock.
Jim, how did get yours to 4-12? Slabbed action?.. super light barrel? What stock? All of the above?
Nice, imfigured that was a Wildcat Stock

I did up a model 7 a few years back…
300 SAUM stainless
Put into a Wildcat Stock, rifle came with a VIAS brake, which I have really come to enjoy.
Swapped trigger, fluted bolt, skeletonize handle and knob, also went with the decellerator pad. With an older ZEISS conquest 3-9x40 mounted in Talleys and sling it is sitting bang on 7 pounds.
Built it for a pack in trip that ended up not happening yet. It made it to a caribou hunt with a lot of walking which was great to have a lightweight for.
Here's my partial build:
- Remington Model Seven stainless action with skeletonized handle, fluted bolt, lightweight bolt shroud, and I think some reduction of the left top side of the receiver
- Shilen 22" stainless barrel chambered in 284 Winchester - the bottom of the barrel is stamped B.R.R.W. - not sure if that's the gunsmith?
- custom lightweight rings
- factory trigger
- Wildcat stock with Decelerator pad
I still need to source action screws and bottom metal (PM me if you can help me find these, thanks!)
Unfortunately, I don't know much more about this --- I picked up the barrelled action and rings as you see them.
The barrelled action weight 3lb 9oz, the stock 1lb 4.3oz and the trigger, rings, and magazine box 5.5oz. Total weight is 5lb 3oz, give or take, and less the bottom metal, spring, and follower.

Looking good ! Interesting rings and mounts fir sure . I’m Happy to stay with Talley LW ones myself . I have one in 284 Win but have to seat 140 and heavier bullets too deep because of the 2.8 mag box . I might have mine machined to fit a near 3 “ Wyatt box into it . The 284 Win adds a bunch of recoil over a 7-08 Rem or the 308 Win . JMO RJ
Yea Dan easier now with the Wyatt boxes available. I prob will just stick with 120 & 130 grers . I have a Brown Pounder on this M600 /M7 rifle. RJ
Those Brown Pounders are nice. - dan

They still are capable of making nice stuff. The last time it took them a couple tries.
