Hey guys, I just got my hands on a disassembled nylon 66. I spent last night and a few beers figuring out how to put it back together. It doesn't work though. When I rack the action, the sear won't lift up to hold the striker. I found a new sear and sear spring and installed those, the sear still won't lift.
It's like the spring has no power to lift the sear. I took the old spring and installed it a little differently so it had a ton of pressure on the sear but that just made it impossible to rack the action as the sear would be permanently up.
I guess my question is this: when the action is racked, what part interaction causes the sear to tilt up?
Oh yeah whoever designed this thing was a schizo.
Thanks.
