Where are you blacklab? This needs to happen before moose season is upon us.
I'm in B. C.
I was going to post it on the exchange, but trying to explain what it is and how it came to be is more trouble than I have time for.

Which is preferable the 760 or 7600 for the proposed build ? A BAR would be nice.......Harold
Are you looking for a 760 or 7600? Not sure the difference in the bbl threads or otherwise.Anyone got one sitting around for cheap? Want to try rebarreling one.

I have one here that could be used if you don't have one lined up already. No big either way if you want to use it. This rifle is in good cond. overall. There has to be at least one somewhere in NB that someone ran over with a truck or shot with mud or snow in the barrel.![]()
the more pointed heavy bullets may be a problem, but I know you prefer round noses Ted.
Right. That is what we are planning to do, remove the barrel from the existing extension. What I was hoping was that we could resurrect a rifle that needed a new barrel.
The magazine will be fine for factory ammo... four PRVI down.
Now that I have tried it, it will be long enough for most of my handloads, too.
Ted
For the Fuddliest rifle ever conceived, only roundnose bullets will do!
Man, those factory loads really FILL that mag up.
Either way, you are more than welcome to use my rifle if other sources don't work out. Maybe another bbl extension could be scrounged in order to keep the original bbl complete.
there is a place in the U.S. that is making new barrel extensions I believe.
Brilliant! A switch barrel 760 pump, combine fuddly with the latest craze........
Only the 'cub would think of that.
