I would agree with 450 Yukon the 14-141/2 are great smooth actions it would be nice if Remington brought them back probably with moder manufacturing techniques they would be able to make money off them now
Sort of getting off the OP's track here but Remington realized the writing on the wall with all the new cartridges that were appearing with pointy bullets. They had considered chambering the .300 Savage but put the effort into the new 760 development.
A 14 1/2 Model continuation might have stayed somewhat viable- look at the Colt lightning reproductions. I'd buy one in .357 because I sure can't find 1 14 1/2 in 38-40!
