Mossberg (and probably Remington) doesn't have the balls to build anything nearly that cool and edgy.
Model seven stainless, 22" fluted barrel, walnut or laminate, chambered in all SA factory rounds based on the .308 (#1 .338 fed, then 308, 243, 7/08)

I think Ruger should make their Alaskan rifle in the 450 Marlin with a Grey Laminated stock. I would definitely cough up some gems for that! At least it's a controlled round feed action.
The last 3 700 CDL SF's I've bought were going to be custom rifles.
Had the parts lined up for a 257 Weatherby, then Remington came out with one.
Was thinking what barrel to buy for a 264 Win Mag, then Remington came out with one.
Since I didn't use the 257 barrel I was thinking about a 257 Roberts, then
Remington came out with one.
Since i also have a 250 Ackley and 25/06 in 700's I'm thinking a
CDl SF in 250 Savage would be just the rifle I need.
Maybe if I gather some more parts Remington will come out with one just before I build it..
Fingers crossed![]()
I am pretty sure a company that puts a 50 cal style muzzle brake on a rimfire is "cool and edgy" enough to build what you propose, which is something that makes bile rise to the back of my mouth.

There's been a lot of interest here concerning a potential special run of Ruger #1 rifles in 303 British.
So, I thoght I'd throw this out there:
I was at a trade show a few days ago and was told by the Remington reps that they would do a run of as few as 50 rifles.
Now, here's a can of worms? Anybody have any ideas?![]()
