Remington Tactical club of Canada

Hmm I'm going to be the proverbial party pooper and just say that these images are super cool and awesome, but i'm not sure a crosshairs pointed at a human skull is such a smooth idea.

well, maybe it's a monkey skull? lol... Or what if you point it at something else that one might hunt with a remington?

"Certainly there is no hunting like the hunting of man and those who have hunted armed men long enough and liked it, never really care for anything else thereafter." - Ernest Hemingway

It's a monkey skull Morgayne, trust me. :)

In a different context I would agree FS, but here I think that bullet should be kept as it makes it clear what we are talking about as there are no alternate meanings of it as opposed to 'round' which has several.

Lionhill, I really like the newest one, especially the black reticle, stands out much better and would be easier to reproduce on a shirt.

I see what your saying. One round can mean one round in a match, or one round as in bullet. Thats what I was thinking. Now If we were an elite team of Insergent killers, I would think "HUNTERS OF GUNMEN." would be the way to go. Because that also can go both ways. Hummm I still like Round. :D

don't worrie guys we will win our matches one round at a time

Steve if you would make the call that would be great!!

Ok I spoke to a corporate lawyer. He said As long as you do not profit from the shirts using the remington name, there should be no problems. If you are product owner and a club using the name. That should be alright. But if you market to the general public for profit. You might run into some red tape. Best bet is to drop them an email about the intentions and have there permission. In fact Remington might enjoy the advertising. Also Remington might want you to use a certain font to like the Remington green in the lettering. That is there call. You might even get some free stuff

I have a feeling they wouldn't be too happy about the skull in crosshairs and as you say we aren't breaking any laws. I say to keep this simple and within the group. Getting corporate backing may be overcomplicating things and I can see it getting messy. I say we just keep doing what we're doing and think about talking to Remington later in the game after the shirts have been made when/if we decide to produce something else.

Love it guys! Great job!
I personally think we should keep it not-too big; I mean anyone with a P/LTR/M40/M24/40XS can join, but I do think we should limit it to that.

What do you guys think of making two different T-Shirts?

Technically the term "round" means the entire load shell. The "Bullet" is the projectile that is loaded into the "round".

The bullet ain't gonna do sweet FA by itself.

Leave the motto as "one round".

Next point, why are shooters Soooooo worried about porjecting a bda image and being Tooooooo Un-PC??????

WAKE UP!!!!!!!!! Accord to the Liberals and people like "Kooky", You Already are projecting a bad image and being Un-PC by just owning firearms.................... Sheeeeeesh...........must be 1st cousins to the Trigger Nazis.......:p :D

Make it a FRIGGEN BIG SKULL and point that reticle RIGHT BETWEEN THE EYES!!!!!!!:dancingbanana: ;) :dancingbanana: ;) :dancingbanana: ;) :dancingbanana: ;)

If it becomes a legality issue(using the word Remington)...that would reflect badly on GT and CGN which would be a bad thing. "Making a difference one round at a time" could be looked upon as shooting people considering there is a human skull in the pic. Some saying like 'A Long Distance Love Affair' might be more appropriate. MY $0.02 which is not to be considered legal tender.

I do think we should make two different t-shirts, depending on cost, effort, etc. One with a more firearm-related logo, and the current one. What do you guys think? Should we just stick with what we have?

Considering all the shirts out on the market. Anyone can get a kill em all shirt. One round at a time could be the difference my score makes. The skull is the club mascot. Like Alister fiend is for motley crew. read into it as you wish. I like it. The skull kinda has the csm 101 look. Terminator for those who dont remember. Wow sounds like I'm stuck in the eighties.

Well I mean not a "kill em all" shirt, but another shirt portraying a Remington 700 or something; there are very few easily obtainable firearm shirts around. And I don't know if the skull should be our "club mascot"; that's extremely generic if you ask me.

Generic for you............a way of life for me................ :D

Lets keep it easy and stick with the one shirt.

Haha well I understand...but it's not like there's really anything special about the skull, it's not the cool reaper avatar you have or anything.
