yeah I was just at the Richmond, Steveston Canadian tire The ammo cabniet was actually there, but they moved it to the other end of the store, and as such, since I'm used to those stores being exact copies, I just assumed they got rid of it. Anyway I saw a brick of "federal champion" 40 grain hollow points, it was like 525 rounds for 17.99 I think, so I just got myself a 50 round pack to try them out when I get my Mk III and I also got a 40 round pack of American Eagle copper "plated" 38 grain rounds, when I got home I noticed that they had the same F stamped on the bottom, so It seems I traded up 10 rounds, and 2 less grains per round so that I can have "copper plated" ammo.....first time I've heard plated being used in that circumstance.
Anyway when I get my ruger, I'm gonna shoot a target of pretty much every type of ammo I have and report my findings here if anyone cares haha. but does anyone have any recomendation of what I should do, such as shoot like 10 or 20 rounds per target? something like that?
I cant remember having any problems with Thunderbolts in my MK II. Probably never fired more than 100 in a single session, but I rarely clean the bore.
