Sorry I should have stated it in the rules earlier wsm's and wssm's and rum's don't count.I would say Winchester by a hair, i have never owned a winchester since like a crazzy fool sold a mint Model 70 pre 64 in 30.06 they made poor quality since that time, but sure brought out some great cartridges lately most the wsm are great, the Remington SAUM will die,
That's so true the .280 Rem was such an awfull cartrige....Definitely Winchester because they were and still are great performing cartridges. The .270, .30-30, .300, .338 and .458 WM to name a few are still with us. Remington on the other hand always seems to be playing catch up(IE: 280 Rem and SAUMs to name a couple), sometimes they get it right 7mm RM though they can't seem to market themselves out of a paper bag.
Over the years these two companies have brought out a lot of great Cartridges. Of the two who do you think "won the battle" and why?![]()
.270 Win.... nuff said...![]()

Okay how about whom is still actually making Guns to shoot (thier ?) cartridges in ?(Judged by commercial popularity)
