Replacing Factory bullet in cartridge

A member asked a simple question.......... he doesn't really need to get belittling/demeaning, and sarcastic replies to his question.

Those in question know who you are. Please show some common courtesy when replying to fellow members.Treat others like you expect them to treat you.........If you can't be polite, then the Pie Hole should be kept shut......;)

Thank You. SKBY.:D

Did I get this right? He wants a better bullet in his 30 US than the Win, 180 grain Power Point, even for deer?
Surely, I must have missed something!

The 180 PP is a pretty darn good bullet in my experience, and especially on deer sized game at 30-40 velocities.

Thanx for the backing, Skullboy and Eagleye, and thanx for the useful input to those who did. heading to the range in a week or so, hopefully, to check the loads.

Tinbird :)

For the number of shots a "good hunter" will fire at deer per hunting trip, I can't see the cost of using premium bullets being that much more if their inclined to do so. Vs. the cost of possibly spending the afternoon searching the bush for blood trails.

What does that do to the overall cost of your hunting trip? Add $5 ?

However that being said, shot placement is #1. It does not matter what bullet you hit them with if it's a bad shot in the first place.
