Hey reloading gurus, maybe you can help with this one.
I did up some reloads a few weeks ago and this past weekend, I had one round that would chamber but the bolt would not close easily and I did not want to force it should I get a stuck live round in the action. I brought it home, removed the bullet/powder/deprimed and did a test fit and sure enough, it would chamber but the bolt would not close down easily. I figured I must have missed this case during the resizing so I did a FL resize on it and tried it again. Similar issue. It would chamber and the bolt will close but with some good effort. It takes a little effort to lift the bolt but the case extracts easily. Diameter at the base of the shell is 0.468" within 0.473" and OAL is 2.008". I've found 5 cases with similar problems.
Any ideas? I don't have a problem dumping them but just curious as to what causes this? Thanks.
