After 2 months in the wonderfull world of restricteds, i realize that for me revolvers are a ton of fun are really more powerfull and have a huge fun factor...

On the other hand my pistols ( 3 Glocks 9mm, 40 S&W, 45 ACP ) are boringly reliable, dull to shoot and very accurate( this is my opinion) and i feel that after shooting my 44 mag's or 357 mag's, that they lack power, that is not true but they are underpowered compared to them...

The only exception is my DE 44 mag that rate up there with my Smith's and Ruger's for power and fun factor, the DE is the most accurate of my handguns...

Like the 308 became my favorite rifle caliber, the 44 mag is getting the nod in handguns with the 357 mag not far behind... JP.

I started out on wheelguns ~ 35 years ago. Eventually, got onto pistols. Now have a mix of both. I like the .41 and .44 Mags. And the .357 Mag, too. Got a soft spot for the venerable .38 Special in a nice, smooth double action S&W K frame. And then there are the SAA's, too. Just for that cowboy nostalgia.

That all said & despite my love for the 1911, for a SHTF scenario my go to would still be a plain vanilla 2nd gen Glock 22 in .40 S&W stoked with 180 gr HP's.

Bottom line is go with what works for you.

I have a Ruger .22 pistol and one of the norc 1911s, and I probably won't get any more autos unless it's a tt-33. I absolutely hate picking up brass. HATE IT. I go out with the 45, shoot 200 rounds, spend more time looking for brass than shooting, and still only come home with 170. For me, revolvers are where it's at for centerfire handguns.

I kind of like everything

I to like them all but certain preferences are showing along the way, and in the future very near future a SAA 1873 in 44 mag ( one dealers just recieved very nice Italian ones) is planned and many more wheel will make it here, but one thing i know those 3 Glocks will last me a lifetime and my collection of pistols could be over... Maybe a Coonan 357 mag could make it to my herd... JP.

I like them all as well.
What I find nice about revolvers is not having to chase after the brass (specially in winter snow) and the slower more deliberate rate of fire(specially with SA).

I'm in the same boat. I think it's just apathy towards common variety pistols that are all so similar in form and function. Think it's just a desire for something a little different, a little fresh, especially with all the new modern revolvers that offer fairly modern aesthetics and function.

I used to have 0 interest in revolvers having owned multiple different auto's...now I only have 2 auto's left and 5 revolvers...and when browsing I find myself only looking at even more revolvers.

That's a big one for me as well but it's hard to slow down some time when the spirit sings..

I like the challenge of firing my revolver rapid fire and keeping the group as tight as possible. I find I shoot my .357 better in rapid fire than my 9mm or .45. Despite the heavier DA trigger. I guess I'm a wheel gun guy.

Wheel Guns are Rheal Guns….time for you to get a 460V or 500 if you want more powerful and huge fun factor

I don't shoot competitively. I don't shoot when people are around much either. I shoot for myself, and do it on my terms with what I like, without the opinions or influence of others. Revolvers in large calibers will likely be my preference for a long, long time. My Sigs are used just enough so that I know the difference!

Nothing really you cant do with a 44 mag with hot loads but i may get one for the showoff, those look mean... JP.

This i have to agree totally... JP.

I have both as well ; if I want to put alot of firepower down range quickly , it is hard to beat a semi with multiple mags ready to go . But I have a real soft spot for wheel guns and their simplicity ; and as others have stated , it is a real pain chasing after brass from a semi......they are all good for different reasons and fuctions....

I'm glad there are options out there for people that aren't satisfied with the recoil from a heavy loaded .44mag handgun.

460 is a BIG difference from a 44mag.

Sure it is way bigger but what i meant, how big do you really need, a 44 is all ready a healthy performer but i agree there is bigger, nothing like shooting my Model 29 with hot load of 270 gr bullet push by big dose of Littl'eGun, one handed in DA... JP.

...and the 500 is another "large man" step up from the 460. Kewl guns, I don't think you'll hear any argument from anyone here, but I'll agree with Caramel, the .44 Mag is about as much gun as anyone really needs. After all, the targets can't tell the difference.;)

I love my wheel guns, but for putting multiples of rounds down range quickly and fairly accurately a semi auto pistol can't be beat IMHO. Putting 1 round down range exactly where I want it...I'll fill my hand with a .357 revolver or .44 revolver in SA. These caliber's are a little squirrely for quick accurate follow-ups compared to say .45acp in a 1911 or 9mm in a Glock. I've seen JM's youtube vids and he can do incredible things with a 500 Mag Smith, but I just can't, and I don't have the sponsors to help me get there...so...?
