I have a T3 in .308, maybe another is in order.
I'm not trying to pick a fight here, I'm wondering what makes the RFB a hunting only rifle and not a rifle that can stand up to abuse. Is it just a question of a military or LE agency adopting it and abusing it or are other reasons? I get that the Tavor is battle proven but so is the M1A / M14 and it doesn't take much digging in the Battle Rifle forum to find examples of Springfields going kaboom.
I not a real good hunter, but I just took my fourt deer with my my rfb, that's 4 deer kill with the rfb and I didn't shoot and miss one. Now I am not a great shot and this is no .5 moa gun but it works! And for me its perfect for hunting, its a bit heavy to carry around ( that's me realizing that I am out of shape this year

) but you can just hold that sucker on target forever with out getting tired !
Now NO its no battle proven rifle and some people's had problems with there rfb's but like everything else the bad reviews finf there way on the internet and most of the good don't. You can easily find a bunch of review about failure to feed from the tavor the mil spec god rifle but it seems all you ear here its that its bomb proof! Yes the tavor it battle proven, yes its a awsome rifle, but its, like the rfb mechanics and mechanics break. I do believe that the tavor as a smaller percentage of problematic unit then the rfb and thus is a more "dependable " rifle ; but I'm just getting tired of all the " rfb suck and tavor is perfect crap" god people get over your ego its not cause you love your rifle that the one you love less or had a bad experience with sucks!
As stated by other eveb the Springfield m1a have lots of problems. I had a norico m14 go harpoon on me on the fourt round years ago there goes your battle proven thing... but no the norc m14 don't all suck, I bought one this year and love it. You guys seen the rail on that knight armament bought at csc I think this winter? It was terrible , does that mean there are a sub par company? Hell no.
One last thing so the rfb is not a moa gun, more a 1.5 -2 . So what's the problem here ? Does the tavor do any better? Its not a sniper rifle, if it claime to be then wed have a problem, does some heavy stainless barrel ar10 kick is ass at the range? Well yes but your talking about a specialized wepon in that target ar10. I dare anyone to come walk a day in the wood with a moa fourty some inch long 12-14 pound ar10 ( hypothetically) and show me how its a better gun! For the love of pete you guys are comparing apple to oranges. Its like arguing witch utensil is better to eat they all serve a diffrent purpose or witch car is better a honda civic , ford f150 or a smart car; it all depends on what you want to do....
Look my rfb as ben 100% and so has cr5, all they all like that? No but I would say there probably 98% like that and there life time warranty. .. sorry its not 99% flawless like the tavor!!!! Get over it already!
Sorry for the rant guy's I just had to let it out, tdc and all the other rfb detractors, I respect your opinions and don't wish to pic a fight its just that the rfb bassing is getting old...
