Geez, do we have to muck up every thread, on every topic, with a discussion/debate about I-don't-believe-your-groups?
My RFB, which I picked up used from an excellent CGN seller...nudge, nudge, wink, wink, say no more...will do 1.5MOA with its favourite surplus and a wee bit better with handloads. I'm not divulging the type of surplus...I don't want to compete for it when some shows up

. In other words, I think the RFB is accurate enough to deserve a magnified scope rather than just a dot, and having the empties in a nice neat little stack in front of me encourages the development and use of handloads for it. I put on a Leupold Euro 2-7x with a heavy #4 reticle, and I think that is very close to ideal for hunting with this rifle. It looks cooler with a straight-tube scope, and it would be fine with 1-4x or similar, but for hunting I want that extra bit of brightness...and it's what I had on hand when I bought the rifle. The fairly coarse reticle is also well-matched to this use; I will not be shooting at deer more than 250 yards away with this rifle. And for those ranges, a simple uncluttered crosshair is best; the more I use the #4 reticle the more I like it.
The mount is a PEPR, with smooth ring tops (I have the silly railed ones on the EE), again because I had it on hand. Height is perfect, cheekweld is just right for me. However, I detest those big hex knobs sticking out on the side with the charging handle. I may change the mount to a QD with flat levers or perhaps one of the Vortex mounts that bolt on with an Allen key, just to get that low profile on the side. Hey, look at that! A use for something by Vortex!
