RIA 10-22 clone

my dad took hit RIA out today and the 2nd time to sight in a new red dot he put on it.
he has his on a Hogue overmolded stock.

he nibbled the middle out of the target.
that damn things groups crazy good for him.

he did say he was having issues with stove-piping with it - it was not feeding the next round very good and he was having issues both with stock 10 round ruger mags and butler creek 10 round mags.
sounds like mag issues cause all his headaches.
but accuracy wise the pics he sent to my ipad where retarded tight.
5 rounds in smaller than your pinky nail.

Yes i have. I used steel shim material with purple (antivibration) loctite. I also headspaced the bolt and put in a ruger trigger group with Volquartsen hammer kit. It was the most accurate 10 22 ish rifle I have ever owned

I bought and sold at least three RIA. I took the WW2 Russian tank primer paint off with Circa 1850. You would be surprised at the wood under that muck. I kept the first one I did, and shot a pile of gophers with it. Everybody was going on about how dumb it would be to buy one of the RIA's when you can buy a Ruger. I decided I would keep shooting this one, no cleaning, until it failed. This may take a while. I did the stock with BLO, Turned out really nice, if you are willing to overlook the body putty to cover some flaws. :)

Just finished putting an old one I had into an SR22 chassis

i kept 2 of the 6 i purchased.
my dad took 1 and 3 co-workers all took 1 each.

my 2 are nice but not super accurate.
minute of gopher but i wont be shooting any 1/2" at 50m competitions with them.

but that is fine by me, i keep them and let people who come to visit use them and my kids.
i keep my nice Ruger 10/22's for me and i dont have to worry about anyone mucking up my nice Rugers!
