Ricjards Microfit

Ok, I have a Rem 700 SPS DM that's getting trued, #8 contour Shilen Barrel chambering in 300WM with badger M5 metal, and a PTG Big Haus brake, any suggestions for a stock. It's for my brother, he wants a HEAVY gun. Would prefer wood cause I don't have a mill for inletting.

that, I did not know, wow... real unfortunate.

my only experience with them other then browsing is that my brother ordered a heavy target stock for a savage based rifle (2-3 years ago), the quality was good, needed final sanding and finish but that's fine.

it's to bad, i'm not sure where else i'd get laminated stocks from that ships to Canada.
 
I'll look through Boyds I guess, gonna call Richards when they open this morning anyway just to make sure, he really wanted one from there.
 
Question: Are you guys taking Canadian orders yet?
Answer: No, we are no longer able to ship anything outside the United States.
 
I can't remember his CGN handle but there is a grease ball member you can PM to personally thank for his self righteous crusade to shut down Richard's Microfit exports. He IS the reason they no longer export to us. For a short time they had to impose an extra fee due to more hoops to jump through after this idiot got done doing his damage but now we're cut off completely. And its a shame because they had so many great options at good prices. He should be banned for what he did to Canadian gun owners but he is still an active member.

There it is. Critter928 RUINED the export of Richards Microfit stocks. I hope it hasn't reproduced, we don't need any more closet-anti loser gun owners.
 
Wow that is terrible news. I have ordered from them before for my A-Bolt, only about 6 months ago, and got a nice black walnut safari with rosewood tips recoil pad and swivels delivered for $140 (Off the closeout bargain list). Someone mentioned long lead times... not the case when I ordered was a couple weeks. I was planning on ordering from them again in the next month or so.... guess that won't happen. I agree he should be banned.
 
Has anyone contacted Richard's since the limit has been raised to $500. I looked on their website and it does not mention that they don't ship to Canada although I believe they mentioned that before. If you want one give them a call instead of speculating and #####ing.

If you received a stock from them 6 months ago..they they are still shipping to Canada. Critter928 dimed them out May 2012.
