Rifle Build Thread!

Every year Gary and I donate a rifle to the Wild Sheep Society of BC to raise funds for the conservation of Wild Sheep in BC and we donate the rifle in memory of Dave "BiG BoaR" Marsh's name,

Dave was real character and sadly passed away a few years back on a hunting trip but prior to his passing he asked me to donate a rifle to the WSS of BC to raise funds, gladly.... so I went to Gary and we started the process, sadly Dave passed away that fall and never did get to see the 1st donation rifle for the following Spring convention in 2017

Heres a few of the masterpieces Gary has built for donation, I cant thank him enough for his creativity as well as his unwavering support for Wild Sheep in BC and to this project in Daves memory.

1st rifle was a 7mm-08 built on a Kimber Montana with a 1-9 twist #1 contour Benchmark, Gary did a cool gunkote pattern on the barrel, it was crazy accurate with factory Nosler Trophy Grade 140gr AB ammo, my nephew Dylan was at the range with me when I first shot this rifle, he could hardly see the group I shot so he said I better shoot it Uncle...lol

Next up was another Kimber Montana donor rifle with a 1-8 twist Benchmark barrel, Gary got creative with the paint and metal work on this one, action was slabbed and bolt handle lightened.

Great thing about these rifles is I get to test fire them and yeh they never disappoint in the accuracy dept.

A good friend of mine Jeff Jackson ( Jackson 5 photography ) did some cool pictures for the WSS of BC and now he does it every year for us and I cant thank him enough for all he does.

Here's the 2021 donation rifle, a 280 AI, I was lucky enough to pick up a package from Gary & Ebony Eakin of Bighorn Sales at a discount and need to thank them for their support to this project and Gary Flach put this Beauty together, Defiance Rebel Acton, 23 inch #2 contour 1-8.5 twist Benchmark barrel, Manners EH6 exposed CF stock with green webbing, Triggertech trigger, Talleys holding a Leupold VX3HD 4.5-14x40 ZL-CDS

Here's 2022s donation rifle built by Gary Flach, again I cant thank him enough for all his creativity, colour schemes and support to this project every year, he probably gets tired of seeing me come through his shop door.....but we both know Dave would love the "Ultimate Sheep Rifle" we create in his memory and as Gary always says I do it for the Wild Sheep !


Chambered in 6.5 PRC, Defiance Anti Action, 22 inch 1-8 twist Lite Hunter contour Hells Canyon Armoury CF wrapped barrel, Flach custom Brake, Triggertech Trigger, Alloy bottom metal, Wildcat Stock, Talleys holding a Leupold VX3i 4.5-14x40 ZL-CDS
