Looks awesome supercub!! All my rifles except for one have open sights on them, if I ever get the non open sight rifle rebarrelled it will have open sights….

Well I can't let these other guys have all the wood with iron sights !!! Husqvarna H5000 30-06

This gun is special to me as it went through 2.5 years of gunsmiths and is the very first gun I took to Gary Flach, it spent 2.5 years at an unnamed gunsmith in the lower mainland as I asked to have a high gloss bluing put on it and a new but pad installed, and the stock refinished, well after he got fired from one shop and moved his shop it took a month to track the guy down and retrieve my rifle and it came back blued and a random 2 inch butt pad and the length of pull was near 15 inches and nothing else done...... yowsa, hard to find good help at times.

I drop it to Gary Flach Friday night explain what I want Monday noon I get the call your rifles done, new but pad installed, action bedded, trigger adjusted and stock refinished ? huh are you sure ? he laughs yup all done.......so I top it with Talleys holding a leupold VX2 3-9x40 duplex Gloss 100 year anniversary scope (1907-2007) so no not a custom build but a darn good make-over !

Here's a nice 280AI very much the same as mine as I had Gary swap the barrel out to 280AI for my son as his parts have still not arrived for his new build,

Defiance AnTi action, Triggertech trigger, 23 inch #3 contour 1-9 twist fluted Benchmark, Sunny Hill bottom metal, Wildcat Stock, Talleys holding a Zeiss V4 4-16x44, a 1lb heavier than mine but he has big arms so no trouble packing it !

That’s a 23” #1 contour 12 twist barrel built for 40/50 gr bullets.

This is a M70 7.7 twist Bartlein 26” varmint contour

And another M700 7.7twist Bartlein 23” 2B contour

Both rifles shoot 75-80 gr Berger target bullets.

Some nice projects here!

Ive just completed this 660 .223 project. With the help of another 600 fan and cgner here.
Rem 660 .222 action, 700 take off 22" stainless fluted .223 barrel, aluminum bottom metal, 700 Mark X trigger modified to fit, bedded into 660 stock with a Bushnell elite 3-9x40 had laying around. Test fired and roughly sighted in on the weekend.

M70 stainless classic 458Lott. A legend. The guns not bad either.

Well look at that. A really nice rifle. Certainly one that can set a standard. One that isn't a fourth hand Penrod, or a cobbled together collection of trick moves being passed off as "excellence". Laugh2

Obviously gas money wasn't a concern, either.

Holly Cat iron cat these are sweet looking FUDD rifles!!
Thanks! The top one is my custom built Ruger by Leeper in .303 Brit, the middle is an 8x56 Mannlicher and the bottom is a 6.5x54 Mannlicher .
The two Mannlichers are owned by friends now who have been killing deer every year with them.

Ok here's the latest build from Garys Bench,

7 SAUM built on a Stainless Sako A7 (WSM donor), factory trigger set at 3lbs...little heavy for me I like 2.5lbs in a hunting rifle,

23 inch #2 contour fluted 1-9 twist Benchmark Barrel,

Gary fitted a Wildcat Tikka stock and did amazing work again,

Talleys holding a Leupold VX3i 4.5-14x40 ZL-CDS scope , total weight scoped is 6lbs 13.5oz, now to get it off to the range !

My A7 is no custom but shoots like one. The roughtech stocked A7’s are especially good out of the box factory rifles. A bit of plastic but otherwise nice solid guns. Sad to see Sako discontinue them.

I had a soft touch A7 that was the most accurate rifle I have ever owned. Put cheap factory fodder into .5-.75 moa groups with a clean barrel out to 300 yards

Here's a new 6.5 PRC build from a combined effort of gunsmiths, Mitch Kendal chambered and installed the 22 inch 1-8 twist heavy hunter contour, Hells Canyon Armoury CF wrapped Benchmark liner onto the Defiance Rebel XM action, stainless Defiance bottom metal and 3.2" mag box kit,

I then dropped it off to Gary Flach and he added one of his hand made side port brakes, gunkoted all metal parts, and fitted it to the Wildcat Stock I had on hand, Timney Calvin Elite trigger, Talleys holding a leupold 4.5-14x40 cds 30mm scope.

Looking forward to getting this rifle to the range.
