most awsome entertainment lmao i followed this most of the night drinking beer and getting ready to hit the range this morning so got to the range did some shooting with my new berreta 96 and when shooting had a big grin on my face thinking about how this thread was going seems a mob has formed i cant understand the man offers a firearm for a buck and some of you go nuts cause you have to wait till monday to see what it is big deal wait and see what it is and be thankfull there are guys like john that will dedicate his time to bringing some uniqe firearms to market here in canada and at rock bottom prices also i might add just take a moment and think how the shooting sports would suffer without people like him SO ITS TIME TO SHUT UP AND WAIT
 
I'm hoping for a Norinco Pistol with every case of ammo purchased.... I already have a buddy that wants to order a case of 7.62 x 54, and if he does and there is a deal on a pistol for a buck.... I'd pitch in the dollar to get the pistol!

I have nothing to hide about how I feel about how this was handled from the very start. Some may call it whining, some may call it being pissy. I call it holding retailers up to a standard that they would have us believe they uphold themselves. I am not accusing you of not being any of these things, but I am calling you out on what was a poorly thought out and poorly handled announcement of a promotion.

If the ad could not be finished by end of day, what was stopping you from letting us know that evening?

I have respectfully made my opinion known openly and online. I have made a decision based on what I see as a bad business decision on your part for not being forthright and up front with the details.

You can dress it up any way you wish and call us all ungrateful for whining about your Christmas Gift to us. We all know it is a business transaction, not a gift. We all know that this in the end will make you a profit, so please save the berating us for not genuflecting at the altar of your generosity.

If you truly wanted to be open and honest about the deal, then you would let us know what it is now.

I have said my peace in what I hope has been an intelligent and respectful manner. Let the flaming away on me begin.

Summed up perfectly. Maybe if John spent less time hating on all the nay sayers and working with his IT guys this could've been avoided XD

Tell you what, you take your laptop and go line up in front of Marstar's warehouse right now... if we don't have an update on what this is all about by mid morning monday then you'll have a valid reason to complain.

I can't believe anyone would actually sit on their computer all night just waiting for an update... were you people just sitting there hitting refresh every 30 seconds? Seriously no one had anything better to do? Man your lives must suck.

Well, I've been watching this since the first post.... still interested.

And as a side note, this is the internet, there is no respect and no social grace. That's pretty much the way it is unless a site enforced a total autocracy with bannable offences including disrespect... and then the cost to that would be pretty high. Like in other threads, value the insulting posts for what they are - valueless.

For the rest of us who are downright curious about what is happening, Monday: Hurry up!!!!

Since he specified not rifle but gun, I'd say you're right. Maybe even a restricted frame?

In which case - John would be a genius! No better way of increasing restricted firearm ownership than by giving away restricted guns!!!

Whatever. I have made deals(not on EE) where a guy said he would pay the asking price, later I had another guy offer me an extra hundred bucks. I told the first guy and he said he wouldnt pay the extra hundred. Am I to lose out on an extra hundred bucks so I don't offend you. I think he should have at least told you about his other offer and give you a chance to match it. Without giving you the opportunity yes he is a ####, but whatever if someone offers him more money then you are forced to up your bid. Simple as that. I also would give preference to local buyers over shipping if I can. Without worrying about shipping and any Canada Post related issues deals go quicker and easier.

I think you have already shown what kind of stunts you are capable of. So far John made a mistake, I'm going to wait until monday and see if he fixes it. Any past deals I have done with him were very good.

To be fair, to avoid a whole bunch of the negativity, John should have mentioned at the end of the day, that there was an unforeseeable delay.

I am sure that very few will deny, that John at times, is abrasive, contentious, and all around snarly.:p However, John has always provided deals that have fantastic value. I am sure that whatever the deal is this time, it will be a DEAL, but dont expect him to give it away whatever it is. To think otherwise, well , as I said earlier, makes you a moron.
