Supposing I'm not chasing that last thousandth of an inch, and want to reload rifle rounds on a progressive. Should I trim before I start, and how do I determine how much to trim? I typically would trim after sizing, but if I do that, I'm not saving any time with the progressive. This is for 22-250 and 7.62x39, if it makes a difference, but probably not much, one's a bolt, one's an auto. Two kids, limitted time, has me wanting to minimize my bench time, I'm sure most of the young fathers around here understand. I have a new LNL AP press, and like a guy with a new hammer, I'm looking for nails that need some tapping.

Especially given I need a separate one for the 7.62x39.
