Good Day Everybody,
I recently purchased a new Savage 110FP in 300 Win Mag from one of the fine sponsors (Frontier Firearms).
I mounted it with two piece weaver steel bases (can't find a picatinny rail for savage long action here), burris xtr rings, and a bushnell elite 4200 6-24x50 tactical scope.
I put it together the same way I have done my other 5 rifles but for some reason I can not get the scope to centre. At 25 yards i have maxed out my left windage and I am still approximately 4-6 inches right.
The only funky thing that I have had to do is turn the mounts to each other. Instead of the mounts going:
<-- PORT <---
they are
--> PORT <--
This is because the burris xtr rings are so wide and they would not fit on the scope body while on the single slotted weaver mount.
I was thinking about turning the rings the other way hopefully moving the sight to the left and then being able to centre using the windage knob. But i'm not sure if that is too hacky.
Hopefully that wasn't too confusing. Any Ideas?
Rene
