I cant wait for the price of Sabots to drop to the price of Fosters. Really, a die made for sabots has to be cheaper to manufacture than that of a rifled die or casting so why why why, do they cost $10-15 more per 5 shells.
Yes and yes... The slug has its own rifling system built into the slug that causes it to rotate. It is designed for a smoothbore.
Any price under $6 is good... I think. What brand are you buying?
alright I have a question.... slugs in a rifled barrel?
Does that work well, what sort of range should be expected?
Rifled barrel the same as a smooth barrel when it comes to slugs?
I will get out to the range and test it one of these days but am wondering what to expect. Seems to me I bought Winchester slugs, not sure if they are rifled or not.
Sorry, but new shotgun and never really used one before.
I have both rifled and 26" choked barrel for my 870
Pricey , but very nice in a rifled slug barrel: Hornady SST 300gr plastic tipped bullet at 2000 ft @ sec.

I enjoy using them when I have the money, $14.95/box 5
