Don't get me wrong you have some kick ass artillery as well and I enjoy seeing pics of them too. Common lets see some more close up pics of them PTRS and PTRD:p

«Any chance of seeing the sniper up close and getting some details?....repro??»

Repro of course! I just could not buy a """" REAL ONE """ too expensive ans way too many fake's out there. Old scope and mounts from the 40's and 50's are all over the place and with all the waffenampt fake stamps on the market, who can tell if it's real or just well covered up fake.
I might just started an other tread to show how i take a German coded K98 and turn it into a sniper repro without butchered any historic piece.

I take a pic this morning, with the snow make a good eastern front background. from left to right:

1942 Mosin M91/30 sniper(repro)
Mosin M91 finn capture
1943 Finn M91/30
1928 Mosin M91/30
1941 SVT 40 sniper, original soviet scope and repro mount
1944 SVT 40
1942 Mauser K98 J.P Sauer rc

I thought I would bring it back to WW1 as I am privileged to own a Gewehr 88 and a Mosin 1891 that served on the Eastern front during WW1. Perhaps these two girls faced off against one another at some point ?

Mosin Nagant 1891, 1911 Izhevsk, with German capture markings on the receiver, stock, and butt plate, repair depot marking to Danzig artillery depot. Humorously, the Germans stamped their property stamp "DEUTSCHLAND" on top of the Russian roundel but you can still read the date and the maker.

And, of course, to compliment others in the thread, here is my Kar98k, a 1940 J.P Sauer & Suhn, that was captured by the Soviets at one point and was refurbished and retained. She was the rifle that started off my collecting three years ago and is a very pleasant shoot at the range everytime we go out together :D.
