Why would anyone bring their hunting rifle to a shooting match?
And vice versa. Good question!

Lots of small ##### energy emanating from this thread.
Why in the world is that comparison even a thing? That right there is how ridiculous this argument really is.
I suspect a lot of it is coming from those who bought what was a decent long-range rifle before 6.5CM came out and have to accept that they need to upgrade; for a newer shooter without an existing investment the choice is easier.
Yeah the 6.5 weinerbee![]()
120's at 3000 fps work perfect for hunting.
I was shooting 120gr Nosler BT over 44.4grs W760 yesterday from a 24" 6.5 Creedmoor, 2995 fps average over 7 rounds
6.5CM would make a fantastic whitetail deer round IMO. Its not overkill but its not too weak either.
Some of us shoot our hunting rifles. A lot.
X2.
If your hunting rifle is fun to shoot, you will shoot more and become a more effective hunter.
Marksman* not hunter, being a good marksman is only one small part of being an exceptional hunter.
3044 fps with 123gr Scenars & RL17 in my 24" Rem 700 6.5 Creed last night
