Let's play a game.
It may just be a nicely cathartic experience, and a litmus test of members' impulse control!
DO: Describe a brand or model of rifle you just don't like. You look at it and pick it up, and just "Nope.. uh uh. Blech." Describe why.
DON'T: Get in a brawl with another poster as to why he's wrong.
My submissions would be: Browning A-bolt and X-bolt rifles. I can't put my finger on just what it is, but they just seem completely without soul or substance when I handle one. I suspect it's all those angles on the action and bolt. I find circles more pleasing to the eye I guess?
Weatherby rifles - mostly just the stocks on Weatherby rifles. I find the extremely exaggerated comb/cheek piece and dropped butt, and "look at meee!" flared pistol grip and angled forend to be... hideous. I don't recall whether it was O'Connor, Keith or some other gunwriter of the time that described Weatherby's stocks as 'California Cathouse' styled, but he nailed it IMO.
