Rim fire 22 rifles that can legally run large capacity mags

All of them as long as it's not a 10-22 mag
Legally? As long as they weren't manufactured for the charger and 10/22, they're still legal as no law says otherwise. The butler creek 25 round mags were designed before the charger exusted so clearly they were not designed for it. The gsg drums dont even fit in a charger without modification. I know about the rcmp letter but the question was what is legal not what is in a rcmp letter that has no actual legal standing. I dont want to spend time in court with the rcmp but i also dont own any non restricted rifles anymore so itsa non-issue.

Funny. But I'm sure the RCMP knows exactly what's what and has it on their hit list.

This is a good point. If they REALLY don't already know the common 22lr rifles with >10rd mags, they're really slacking...

However, the OP asked what's legal, not what is available. And what's legal is all of them, except the few exceptions due to pistol mags.

Gsg 16 for now untill somebody comes up with a pistol version and imports it into Canada and screws us again

Again, not an issue. This wouldn't hold up in court (like the 10/22 fiasco).

The GSG16 magazines were designed for the GSG16 rifle. If they manufacture a 'pistol' version afterwards (god no), the magazines were still originally designed for the rifle, but happen to fit the pistol version.

Someone really need to bring the whole 'dual use bs' to court.

Am I only one who likes the flush fit 10 round magazine of the 10/22? Just buy several, or a 552 speed master or marlin model 60. No sore thumbs with a tube fed mag.

Ruger 10/22

Put whatever size mag you like in it.

The interpretation provided by the RCMP remains unchallenged.
