Got an Evil Roy for my fiance. I sold my old Henry 22 a while back and she has never forgiven me for it. So I thought it would be an excuse to get an upgrade that we can both use :)

Rob you certainly have some beautiful and classic rifles, very nice. Can't remember if you've talked about the accuracy of the Tyrol or not? How does it shoot?

Savage MkII BVSS and Remington 597 AAC-SR.

Savage is waiting on some parts, but have a Nikon Prostaff Rimfire II 4-12x40 BDC to mount, Caldwell XLA Pivot bipod, EGW 20 MOA Rail and still looking for rings for it. The Remington is my chicken gun and when I let my friends/family shoot.

Ruger 10/22 Target with Leupold VX2 6-18x40 and a BX Trigger. With CCI Standard, it prints a ragged hole @ 50m.

i want to build a similar rifle with that exact scope. not sure you need the recoil spring on a 22lr

The scope is free floating ,a return to battery scope can be used on anything that you want to put it on.
This particular scope has been used for ammunition testing on everything from 22's to 375 H&H rifles.
And yes, even on a 22 rifle this scope moves.
Many shooters do not pre-load the spring however and prefer too bring the scope back into battery manually.
BTW that rifle was built in 1956.
The scope also is from the 50's, it is a Lyman Super targetspot

Boredom project on this Little Badger I had collecting dust. This one had no rails and in fact the holes were not even tapped. I fashioned a fore end from a Tapco handguard for a SKS providing a rail for an optic and a better purchase. I cut a notch in the bottom for the barrel release and trigger guard to recess into. Extended the wire buttstock to a more adult length and then wrapped an old shotgun buttcuff around it creating two interior pockets and making for a more comfortable cheek weld. I’ve attached a short length of picitinny rail to the useless rail provided where a pistol grip can be added and put a few covers on making a nice grip. Then wrapped the barrel and remaining wire stock with 550 paracord. A cheap red dot to top it off as well as enlarging the peepsite diameter and filing down the front sight and adding a small chunk of fibre optic tube to the top of the post.
