Yep it was a beautiful day at the range yesterday. +10, but WINDY. 20KM/H crosswinds. You can see the flag in the background and it was straight out all day. I didn't bother worrying about my grouping/sighting in. I got it pretty close for such a windy day, though.
50 yards. Sellier and Belliot was certainly the best performing. Not pictured are Federal HPs (I ran out just before shooting these final groups), that also were second best.
Today is high of -5 though... Temps are flip/flopping all week!
Yep the Henry is a favourite. I'm going to upgrade to a Boyd's Pro Varmint (formerly Tacticool) stock on the Savage. The stock comb is WAY too low on the savage.
So, I finally got around to putting a scope on the Henry today. Thanks to P&D in Edmonton for the great service. Thanks Jack for the professional mounting and bore sighting. Anyways, the rifle is a Henry Frontier model in .22WMR. I needed to put a hammer extension on it because of how low it's mounted. The scope is a Leupold VZ-1 Ultralite Rimfire 2-7x28 with the Leupold medium rings.
