We just had 41 Cooper show last week at the shop. We were very pleased with the level of wood on several JSR/JGR/CC's. Better than they have been lately. However, this one is made from a blank we imported from NZ. It wasn't the nicest blank we've ever had but it sure turned nicely! It also have a neidner butt plate and inlaid studs. Its not for sale as it was bought 'in store' before we ever got the pics up. For those of you that like the elegant wood we wanted to put these up, however, the rifle is even better in person. We really like the density of these blanks from very old trees. Enjoy!

I believe this is the most rare gun I own: WAMO "HAMILTON" DUELING PISTOL.

WAMOHAMILTONSTAMPINGS003_edited.jpg

Just below it is its more common, but MUCH more successful little brother: WAMO POWERMASTER PISTOL.

In a recent article on Wham-O guns, the author mentioned that only 6 of the Hamilton were known to date. He reported none of those were serial numbered. Mine IS numbered, just over 700. He also calls it the "Pirate" pistol because gun collectors argued that the better known Hamilton Rifle Co. was being confused as the maker instead of the Wham-O toy company.

This rarity showed up in an online auction a couple of weekends ago in a lot of ten guns. I had to bid on the entire lot to get it. When I won I had the auction house only ship it and a couple of other scarce pistols directly to me and the remaining 7 were shipped to another auction house in the same state to dispose of them for me.

In bottom left corner of photo is an original Wham-O/WAMO "Sporting Goods" product leaflet - a 10-panel fold-out - which featured the famous toymaker's more he-man type weapons such as throwing knives, dueling epees, crossbows, blowguns, slingshots, etc.. They later tried to shed that image to push the peaceful toymaker image.

It's a great addition to my collection and am very happy to have gotten it. Now have all three of their firearms under one roof. All three use exactly the same single-shot action.

I would like to hear from anyone else who owns a "Hamilton" like this.

mac 63, that ruger international is the nicest .22lr I have ever laid eyes on, in person or on the internet. something about those full length stocks that just looks "right"

heres my Lakefield .22lr purchased a few years ago from a board member. like another poster mentioned, will shoot anything that you feed it, but it really likes CCI Stingers

what make is the rifle? something european judging by the stock but that full length wood...theres just something about it. I would sell my 3 lee enfields, my marlin 30/30 and my lakefield mk.II if I could just get one of those.

CZ 452 full stock. They're being discontinued and replaced with the 455 full stock but I like the 452.
I personally love the look of the full stock mannlicher, some people are not big fans. Their loss. :D

If you can still find one for sale NIB, do it!

What's the difference between the 452 and 455?

I'm not 100% sure...lots of people swear by the 452 as being superior to the 455 but I can't say for sure.

This shows a few observed differences:
