I have never tired that. I am sure that I would if it was a Leupold or similar - not so sure about many other "discount" scopes. Obviously will be a parallax issue for any distance shooting, I would think, for those that do not have AO. I have Leupold VX-1, VX-2 (has AO) and VX-Freedom marked for rimfire - all have 1" body - was under the impression that was about parallax setting only - I just do not know if the guts are the same or not? Long ago my Dad tried to install a Weaver .22 scope (side mount) onto his M1917 30-06 - those had really minimal eye-relief - and it was solidly fogged up inside the first time he went hunting, so it was promptly removed - I am talking 1950's or 1960's, or so. Might be worth a PM to Korth to find out about the Leupold scopes - I have no clue who to ask about other brands - what, other than parallax, is different between rimfire and centre fire scope?
