It was my original post in the general fire arms section and unfortunately it was locked by a bunch of bitter people going on and on about the vendor that bought up your inventory. Thread was supposed to be an ode to you Kate and your great service and prices. I wish nothing but the best in your future endeavors, this economy can be really brutal.
Cheers and best wishes Ryan

Well I will miss you Kate we talked on the phone once when I placed a rather large order while I was in camp and I won your smoke grenade prize

Sad to hear you're closing down Kate...not so much because I will miss your great deals but because you are a bit of a bright spot in the Canadian gun retail world. I'm sure others would agree, most of the retailers here on CGN are a great lot but you always seemed to just stand out from the crowd. Wish you all the best in your future endeavors whatever they may be.

I'm not much for the TSE crowd. Would have been great to see a deal struck with another vendor. None the less all the best in your future endeavours, I am sure you will be a real asset to the lucky organization that gets you on the payroll. looks like you have a real following here and they are a tough crowd to please.

I guess we are all fortunate enough in this Country to be able to make choices where we buy our "stuff". There are very few retailers that provided top notch service like Kate at ammosupply . However my money will now be going elsewhere. ....

At the end of the day..it's just business. Best of luck in the future, thanks for being on CGN!

Very sad to hear this. I always enjoyed dealing with Kateand I wish her well in the future.

As to TSE, I've never dealt with them but given what I've read over the years I'll probably just look elsewhere. Being from the east coast there is no real incentive to deal in Calgary but Kate's competitive prices and great customer service overcame the distance disadvantage on several occasions.

It was a pleasure dealing with you once and it is with heartfelt sorrow to see you go: I think a lot of people here will miss you.

I do try to allow free discussion in the AmmoSupply forum but I will be deleting profanity.

...and as such and solely out of respect for you I will not mention my opinion of the buyer of your once amazing company...

Best of luck in your future endeavours Kate. I had nothing but great experience in my deals from you. Always cool stuff I couldn't find elsewhere. Only wish your shop had been out east here in Ontario so I could have dropped in the store to chat, hah, hah.
Cheers.

So Kate....are you staying in the business or moving on to other endeavours? Either way, I wish you well. You always went the extra mile to get a manageable shipping cost to the east coast.

Wow. I just heard this. I ordered stuff from Kate at least 4 times, and she was always fantastic to deal with.

When she had the 20% off sale, and hadn't really added inventory in the last couple months leading up to that... I thought something was up - a reorganization at a minimum.

Oh well, best of luck your future endeavors!

You might find me popping up somewhere else in the industry, but I am planning to take a bit of a break, maybe take up a hobby. I *may* even get into the shooting sports - I've heard it's great fun? Seriously, I am looking forward to getting some more range time in :)

Well, that sucks. I kind of thought something was up, given the unusually low stock.

Thanks for everything Kate. You were always super helpful; I don't think there was a vendor here that was as prompt and courteous with replies as you.

One less ammo vendor within a few minutes drive from my place. TSE is (Only slightly) closer, but... Well, maybe some of your practices will rub off on them. One can only hope :)

What range do you shoot at? If that's information you don't mind posting on a public forum...
