RL-15 Powder turned white

This continues on lol
I have since let Henry at budget shooter know about the thread,
He has replied he gets all his powder in factory sealed cases, he doesn’t accept returns.
Again no one has access to powder reloading room but me.
Powder stays in original containers only , and returned to them if not all used in reloading process.never left in measuring devices when done loading shells. Everything is wrote down.
I have never used empty powder containers for anything except bullets I have made and coated
If it is corn cob media , I have never used that kind or had or in my place so that’s a no go. I use the red coloured stuff only.
My wife read belted reply and just nope
So nobody had access to switch any thing in room, only this 64 year old grumpy feller ,
I went on a solo hunt last fall and came back with a 5x5 elk , so I still remember how to go hunting and get home lol
I’m not saying I don’t forget stuff , in this case I don’t remember switching any powder for corn cob media
Might be a plot for unexplained mysteries show haha
Thanks for all that replied it has been interesting

Did someone give you a container they thought had powder in it?

In any even, power or not, if it is unknown, or suspected powder that has gone bad, you are looking at disposal.

No better place than spread out in the garden.

The first thing I did was look at the date of this to see if it was April 1......lol

With the price of powder these days I wouldn’t be surprised if someone broke in and took the powder and left the corn cob behind......

Am I the only one who thinks this all sounds a bit on the kooky side, and is most likely explained away with forgetfulness? Good God man, it's powder, not diamonds. I could understand products getting stolen or going missing during the transportation, but nobody is going to empty out powder and replace it with tumbling media.

Yeah or a trade with someone or a gunshow purchase...

Well yeah, outside the scope of his story there would be more possibilities of tampering, but factory to distributor, and distributor to customer doesn't give much room for tampering. I think it's a case of some-timers for the OP. I'm just trying to piece together how he's positive this can was bought from Budget in 2016, but it seemed light, and he might have used some. Now I'm not sure how other guys keep records, but rounds loaded and powder lots switched or mixed are included in my data. If you want to see why my bottle of RL-7 or whatever is half empty, you can back-track through my reloading data.

I bet you wish you had not started this thread now !🤠🤪 LOL. RJ

after deep contemplation after reading this whole thread I would say someone the OP knows and has let in his reloading room has played a prank on him or dare I say pulled a fast one after they saw the prices of powder these days LOL
My reloading room is locked up at all times and the only person to go in that room is me as I have the only keys to the locks. Not even my wife has been in that room except for when it was finished construction but not since the contents of the room were added. No friends or relatives have been through that door either. So if this happened to me it would either be a case of early alzheimers (of course I jest... but....) or the bottle came filled like that by some mysterious happenstance before my purchase.
