Robarms XCR FAQ post

Hey guys, I was out doing some load development, and all my brass was landing about 20 feet away, on setting 2,3,and 4. Normal?

On a good note, I got 3 groups under an inch:)

Totally normal, the XCR's fling brass really far.

I have to stand right on the firing line when others are next to me with my XCR so I don't hit them in the head with my brass, otherwise I stick to the far right and deal with my brass bouncing off the wall back at me.

Ya,I don't remember them flying that far, from my last XCR.
I had my truck parked about 20 to 25 feet from my bench, and they were bouncing off the box and landing in a neat pile... lol

Just got around to swapping my XCR FAST stock out for the ACR stock. Wow, what a difference. I was lucky and had one of the more solid FAST stocks (no wiggle) but this setup seems so much more solid nonetheless.

I don't mind my fast stocks, they're nice and tight, but I do think a some the AR and ACR stocks will provide a much more ergonomic cheek weld. Given I don't want to sink that much more into the xcr's it's the only thing to do, in order to make'em that much better.

I had a wiggle in both XCR stocks. Wiggles left and right about 1/16 of an inch when locked into position. Quick fix was I put a bolt shim and adjust/tighten accordingly. Now it locks into position with no wiggle.

Even though my fast stock is tight, I can't wait until I get my adapter and CTR.

Probably coulda done a bit better, but It was cold and windy, and I was shooting fast and.....LOL

Running and gunning today and I noticed something odd with my mags. Maybe someone can chime in. Every mag I have will seat into the magwell with the bolt closed EXCEPT for the E-lander 30 rounders pinned to 5. Isn't this strange? With that being said the Elanders are able to seat into the magwell with the bolt closed when they are unloaded. It just seems like when they are loaded they wont seat.

they're pinned too tightly... to 5 rounds instead of 5.5

Eh guys. Robinson Arms released a new stock called the FAST 3. No more wiggle lol. It has a threaded knob that u tighten down once u have u set length of pull. Wolverine Supplies had a demo version but they dont know when they are coming out for sale.

Anyone have tried the Norc non corrosive 7.62x39 ammo from Canam? Seems to be a really good deal if the XCRs like it. I've only fed it Barnaul.

Yo men. I wanna do some splurging. Whats the best and most comfortable pistol grip out there? (That fits on the xcr) Also what do you gents reccomend for a muzzle device for quick follow up shots. I want something that reduces the "up and to the right" recoil

I used ergo grips in mine. As for brakes most will do the same job. I went for the usual 3 side and 2 ventral ports.

I'm used to comfortable pistol grips on rifles that I got annoyed when shooting my new xcr with just the regular A2 grip. The front of the grip was jutting harsh into my hand. Ergo and Hogue make great grips. I put the Hogue grip from 4th Gen Tactical on my xcr as soon as I got home after first shooting.
I still have to install a comp on my .223. I have a griffin armament tactical comp waiting. I really like the tactical comps. They are loud, but evenly disperse the gases, so it dampens the recoil enough. I also get to go shopping for my 7.62x39 conversion kit barrel. I was thinking something ported, like a spatha tactical gladius from s&j hardware - should be effective.

How about the magpul MOE grip? Comfortable?
I'm running a Magpul MOE+ Grip on my XCR-L and love it, fills the hand far better than then stock A2 grip which is too skinny in all dimensions.

The magpul also has a rubberized grip texture which sits well even with really sweaty hands.
