Robarms XCR FAQ post

Just got my 6.8spc kit in today. Can't wait to try it out, but I noticed the inside of the barrel looked a bit dirty, I was just going to run a few patches through it with some cleaner and then rem oil. You think I could sneak by with using my .223 patches and jag or should I use something else?

Just ran the first 60 rounds of 6.8spc through my conversion kit. Had one malfunction (double feed) possibly I will turn up the gas setting from position one. One thing I noticed was my groups were decent (limited to a 40yard range) but 3 inches high and to the left. Adj the crap out of my scope, still couldn't get poa to poi. Next time I guess. But overall, very happy.

Rifle is now sighted in perfectly (for me anyways). But I did once again have a double feed. It may be the magazine, as both malfunctions occurred when using the supplied 5rnd mag. The 10rnd mag seemed to not give me any problems even though it is the same brand as the 5 rounder. I'm going to try to turn my gas setting from 1 to 2, and hope that solves my double feed issue. I just didn't think it was set too low as my brass was being thrown a good 10-15 feet.

Did you break it in - the 1st 300rds on the highest gas setting?

The 5rd pinned are crap...Just use the 10rd! It most likely is the mag!
Too bad MAGPUL doesn't make any for 7.62x39

I didn't think the gun needed to be broken in, as I just put the conversion kit on my rifle which has has a couple thousand rounds of .223 through it already. But I will try to run it on gas setting #2 to see if I stop having problems with double feeds.

Yes I would believe you are correct concerning the breaking in!

If you are using corrosive mil-surp ammo I think it works best on 3, on 2 thats the lowest setting for regular ammo. Again I believe its the MAG that's the issue! If its not happening with the 10rd Pistol Mags I would stick with those.

Got my ACR stock adaptor and ACR folding stock on the XCR

Question...

I have the NEA AR Stock Adapter however I am unsure what size extension/buffer tube fits in it. Mil spec or commercial? I would like to put a magpul CTR on it...

You need to make 100% sure that the extension/buffer tube matches the stock, Mil-Spec/Tube with Mil-Spec/Stock or Commercial/Tube with Commercial/Stock.

Both Tube options will fit the NEA adapter as the thread's are the same.
Commercial has a slightly larger outer diameter than Mil-Spec.

Didn't see this anywhere on the boards, but didn't think it was worth it's own thread.
Love him or hate him (admittedly, I love him) Nutnfancy talks to Alex Robinson at Shot Show 2012 about the latest XCR rifles.
It's a fun watch, no matter how you feel about the rifles, or either of these characters.
