Anyone have a bore guide that works in the xcr without removing the extractor?

probably pretty simple question but can I just put Loctite in the screw that holds the barrel in?
fairly stupid design to put a screw there in my opinion since it always comes loose after some shooting.
Seems that the stock upgrades only are a nice step forward with the XCR. Who here owns both models and can offer a hands-on comparison and review?
I have the latest gen, accept the dual mag release for some reason. The FAST stock is a nice improvement, so is the full rail instead of the skeletonized. What other changes have been noted? I'm curious in case there is something I'm missing.
The Sako M works on both the XCR-m and the L. Little bit tight on 30cal brush though.I tried a generic fits all bore guide and the extractor was sticking out a little too far for the guide to sit straight in the bore.
I am thinking of making one with hard anodized aluminum tubing slightly bigger that what is needed for a jag and patch to go through and at the bore end putting a larger piece of something to fit and protect the bore.

I was under the impression (no hands-on experience with it myself) that the trigger group had been changed and now has a lighter pull on it (4lbs Vs 7 lbs) ?
Lol,
Light trigger pull it is. Measured out to 3.6lbs on the break using my fishing scale. Lol! I didn't think the trigger was different than before. Makes the AR triggers feel horrible after you shoot the XCR. All my AR's are jealous. Lol!
Well, lighter in the blackrifle world that is. As you said, there are the ARs that have quite a edge on the then. It ain't light as the Jewell that I have in my Surgeon that's for sure (and for that matter, any quality bolt trigger set for a very light pull) so its all a question of keeping it in the right perspective.
That said, would be good to know what the previous trigger group pull comes out too..5.5lbs or 9lbs (+), ala Tavor (still f'in friggin' fantasticoerritifc to shoot).
You don't want too light of a trigger in this type of gun. 3.5lbs is perfect for a tactical rifle such as this. You don't want anything lighter if you like to "run and gun" so to speak. Super crazy light triggers are great for sitting or going prone with.
Absolutely. Wouldn't want it lighter than 3lbs ish.
