Robarms XCR FAQ post

I had the issue with the trigger not resetting with the gas system on setting 4 for break in. I haven't had it happen since but I've been using setting 1. Check to see if there is any debris in the trigger group. I never did figure out what caused it. As for the bolt that's a tough call. If its just a piece of threadlocker in there then forcing it won't do any damage but if the threads are buggered or there's some metal shavings in it then you will do some damage.

I tried to remove the barrel on my XCR-L after shooting yesterday, and it seems that the threads with the barrel bolt are screwed. I can loosen the bolt about 1.5 turns and then it becomes extremely stiff and won't budge. I am able to re-tighten, but it will not come out. Any ideas? How much damage will I do if I force it out?? I think this may have been caused by shooting with the barrel bolt backed out a little bit, as that has been an issue as of late. Also as of yesterday, my trigger would not re-set at random intervals throughout a 10 rnd magazine. Cycling the safety on and off would fix this most of the time. Hoping someone can provide some insight on these issues, as I am becoming fairly frustrated with this gun.

my barrel bolt stiffens up a bit when I ever I try to take the barrel on or off, I do believe RA uses thread insert in the upper so crank on it with a bit more force and it should be fine, As to your trigger reset problem check and make sure the legs of your hammer spring is sitting on top of your trigger pin.

All XCR's except for the earliest XCR-L with the 5.56 NATO marked barrels are pinned before they are exported, take a look at the underside of your muzzle device, it there is a hole than it is not pinned if there is a round colour spot than it is pinned, welded and ground down.

They kept pinning .223 barrels for a while but have recently stopped.

The Ms are not pinned, and if there is no spot weld at BDC of the muzzle device, near the barrel shoulder then it is not pinned and you can remove it with a wrench. The spot weld is very obvious. If it is pinned, the best way to remove it is to grind the muzzle device's flange down on 2 or 3 sides and pull it out with pliers. Drilling is risky as they are a tight fit so it must be removed completely before you can unscrew the muzzle. Theres not a lot of room for error.

Awesome. Will try mine tonite and report.

Hey guys I seen one of those Vltor Enhanced Modstock's in action the other day, I feel in love. I would like to put it on my XCR-L so I was looking for that NEA adapter. NEA does not have it on there site, and no one seems to be listing it for sale. I just barely missed one in the EE then when I heard the price it went for I almost cried... Anyone know where to find one, or a non folding substitute?

All I have to say is good luck .... I've been looking for one for three weeks now... If you find some please let me know lol

The XCR just knocked off the CZ VZ58.

My future battle rifle collection:

Springfield Armory M1A Socom 16, .308
Robinson Armament XCR-L, 7.62x39
Daniel Defense MK18, 5.56 NATO

I like short rifles, so the XCR would have a 14.7 inch barrel.

Now I just need to swallow the idea of spending $10,000+ on 3 rifles + optics and other accessories.

Right on the front page of Dlask.com

This is the one I have and it works great

I searched through Dlask before posting and couldn't find it!!! hahaha it had to be on the front page...

I googled a full gun image and, it shows that it is folding. Is this true? the Dlask picture and page show and say nothing about folding. I dont want a folding stock maybe its just the FAST stock and the ISSC stock but I hate the play in them.

one more NOOB question :p do these adapters accept the milspec or Civi buffer tube?

Could anyone with the latest generation of XCR-L snap a picture of the internals?(I know some of you received them very recently)

I mainly want to know:

Is the op-rod and the foot is now "one piece" like the XCR-M? If not, are they still welded together like the old styles?

Does the firing pin sit on the bolt or does it sit on the bolt carrier?

How's the machining of the bolt and carrier? My old generation had rough machine marks(Not like the function is impeded though).
