Good idea, so the only difference between the quad rail upper and keymod upper is how you attach accessories? If you were to remove the rails , off the quad upper they would be the same, weight ? I was just planning on using 2 3 1/2 inch rails , end on to each other.Im just swapping my keyhole upper for a quadrail upper with another CGN member.Dave
The new XCR Ls have a new XCR M style bolt. The Buffer is attached to the carrier not at the back of the receiver.Dave
ok , I just ordered a couple 3 1/2 inch rails from brownells. I'll try that when they and the rifle get here...thanksBrian as far as I know the uppers are the same internally.Ill let you know for sure as soon as I get the quadrail.D
I looked at Canadian sites ,but couldn't fine any. I just ordered a couple keymode rails fr Brownells.Where can one buy keymod rail sections for their XCR-L? I've found them on a number of american sites, but so far haven't found any in stock in Canada.
Is there anywhere you can get a VFG that fits directly to the keymod? Like this guy

it was throwing the brass from 10 to 20 feet on setting 2, and yes iwa running it wet. She ran very smooth. I guess I'll tear her down, and give her a good cleaning. Not looking forward to that though, the only rifle I tore down was a 1022.You need to run it on the gas setting that throws the brass 8-10 ft. Mine hasnt left setting 2 in 1000 rounds. Cleaning is up to you but I would clean it after break in. Your going to find brass shavings in the magwell and bolt as things wear together. The gas tube should have some grime on it too. Did you run the bolt wet during break in?
