The early tube stock was a folder. They removed the folding mechanism to export to Canada but some canadians managed to get it as it was supposed to be.
IIRC it was held by tension in the folded position.
yes the castle is required to lock the extension tube in place.With the Dlask adaptor is a castle nut required to secure the receiver extension?
I had my CTR stock and adapter , installed by wolverine , no castle nut came with it. I used some blue lock tite on the set screw and it's never came loose. Just curious, what would keep the castle nut from backing off? From looking at mine , I don't see what a castle nut would even lock on to.As I thought, conflicting opinions. I've seen quite a few pictures of them installed without the castle nut but it didn't make any sense to me. Just got off the phone with Dlask, response was literally "of course you do".
