Mine went from 4 to 2 fairly quick. I'm at 2 now and it runs perfect, throwing brass 15 to 20 ft. On setting 1 get the odd FTE, so is it ok to leave it on setting 2?
I had one of those today , using reloads . If it was a screw in the deflecter , wouldn't this happen way more often?thought i would share my xcr-L photos. have about 400 rounds down it now and and very happy with the rifle. only had one issue so far during the break in. i had a failure to eject and the fallowing round was crushed by the fired case stuck in the action. since then no issues. throws brass really nice on gas setting 2. had an interesting time trying to get the rifle zeroed with a serious lack of consistency but things came together by the end of the day. not entirely pleased by the grouping but i haven't tried more than one type of ammo (bulk federal/american eagle). I'm running a vortex prism 3x sight. all said and done I am happy with the gun. can't wait to get out and shoot some more!
some cleaning

The early RA models with the tube stocks where fixed stocks. The new models with fast stocks are folders and yes they lock in the folded position. Can anyone please clarify if the RA tube folder has any method of locking in the folded position?
The early tube stock was a folder. They removed the folding mechanism to export to Canada but some canadians managed to get it as it was supposed to be.The early RA models with the tube stocks where fixed stocks. The new models with fast stocks are folders and yes they lock in the folded position.
IIRC it was held by tension in the folded position. Can anyone please clarify if the RA tube folder has any method of locking in the folded position?
Thanks. I obtained a tube folder and it seems very loose, both when open and folded. There is nothing preventing it from flopping around when folded. I much prefer the tube stocks over the marginally-adequate FAST and I'm not a fan of putting AR stocks on everything. I may have to experiment with the folder or find another fixed tube as the FAST is not at all conducive to shooting supported with the weak hand.IIRC it was held by tension in the folded position.
What's wrong with the fast stock? Have wanted to see about changing my UBR out for one of those...
