Robarms XCR FAQ post

not too worried with it interfering with barrel removal- i can just remove my attachments if need be. I am more so worried that the qd swivel will actually make contact with the barrel when installed. What do you think based on the youtube vid I posted?

I like the low profile one shown in the video, however it will likely come undone occasionallydue to thinness and leverage of sling loop against rail/keymod forearm.

I had a similar incident last year in a blinding rain and the flash hider went a couple inches into the soft ground. Fortunately it didn't get in the barrel itself.

wow that would suck. How about adding some loctite?

My bad, I didn't explain myself well.

Apparently(my guess)the QD male with the ball bearings, somehow leveraged against the socket assembly and popped out of the QD female socket or simply failed to hold in the shallow socket.

I had the firearm slung muzzle down across chest, so when the front QD turned loose, the rifle swug more vertical as it fell flash hider downward, into the ground. Like a lawn dart. lol

I caught the rifle and it was likely why it didn't go deeper into the wet dirt.

Has anyone here trashed their FAST stock and bought a magpul or AR-15 looking stock for their XCR? If so, was the upgrade worth it? Big difference?

Probably my only complaint is the FAST stock...

Couldn't get rid of the FAST, fast enough.
Dlask adapter, Magpul CTR w/riser and "enhanced" butt pad.

I found LOP a real problem with the FAST, now it's more better.;)

I dont have any issues with LOP ..I just find the stock to be "thin" and uncomfortable. Was looking at a beefier stock like a magpul ctr perhaps.

I love the fast stock, its low profile is one of my main reasons for the purchase.

"Motorcycle Rifle" is its primary role, light and enough power on tap in black bear country.

LOP was a problem in what regards? Are you a super tall man?

I'm 5'11" and thin, so not super tall, but I do have long arms. The FAST just didn't fit quite right. I only gained 1.5" with Magpul but it's enough for a better fit.
I also found the FAST loose fitting. I filed the hinge trying to tighten up, but gave up. I just didn't dig it.

dont have much trouble with the fast stock on mine , it quite even very tight no wobbling

thinking getting maybe a xcr-m but most likely in 243 win but they are quite expensive to buy now

Speaking of stocks, I have silly a question:

Exactly which shade of OD green is the OD green XCR? "OD" Green has a number of variations and the "Foliage" green the magpul displays looks closer to what I have compared to their "OD" green. It could be my monitor; have any of you ordered a green stock from magpul, and do you know exactly which shade of green it was? As you may have deduced, if I swap my stock, I'd like the shades of green to match.

Like 9x19p's situation, the FAST stock just doesn't seem to fit me right, and I'm a similar build. It's on pretty solid with no wobble, I just can't seem to get a nice cheek weld.

Can't help you on the color match, but have you raised or lowered the stock using the 3 hole stock to receiver adjustment? I had to raise my stock and cheek piece to get the proper fit.

I didn't know it could be raised vertically, I see that the top of the stock is flush with the receiver so I figured it was as high as it could go. Is there a video demonstrating how to raise it? I checked youtube but just got replacement videos.

Od green Magpul is very close to Odgreen Robarms.

I see, thanks for the tip.

I dont have mine in hand, but fold stock or look for 2 allen heads near the stock to receiver joint. There will be 2 allenheads and 3 holes to screw them. I removed the two allenheads and moved the stock up a hole if I remember and reinstalled the alenheads to get my scope / cheekweld fit.

Alright I see what you mean; I'll need something to cover up the opening in the stock since it's raised, but I get a much better cheek weld now. Thanks!
