Robarms XCR FAQ post

I believe it's a 1 in 9 twist. I think I was getting around 2.5-3MOA with factory 55gr PMC. Firing prone off the mag. Haven't done a serious accuracy test off the bench yet. I'll post here once I do.

mine from 75 yards, using 55 gr AE fmj, benched, bi-pod, butt stock free on my shoulder, using a Bushnell holosight, i achieved 1-2 inch groups. that was trying. i was also using the visicolor target so my impacts were very easy to see.

1 moa sounds encouraging. I'm thinking of buying one of these but couldn't justify the cost if it was minute of barn door.

Just a heads up, I have one of the latest XCR's in .223 that is basically a $2600.00 paperweight to me right now! I had about 165 rounds of Winchester factory ammo through mine and thought I would strip it down for a cleaning and inspection, well I'm glad I did as I had a bad barrel.

I found some pitting in the bore between the chamber and gas valve,it actually looks as though some of the rifling was missing or the chrome bore peeled.

My dealer contacted the distributor, they said ship it back as they have barrels instock,so they shipped it out on Apr 1 Xpresspost, as of tonight my f**king barrel has not be shipped back to me yet!

The only other peeve I have with my XCR is with the way the lower receiver and upper are slightly misaligned, the upper sits about 1.5mm to the left at the rear.

Hey its non restricted though!

I hate sounding like a whiner,it takes alot to crank me up these days but somewhere along the line the ####in customer service blows!

WOW. i am really surprised at that. those are MAJOR problems. surprising that with that small of a company, those kind of quality control points were not caught! please keep us updated on what they say about it.

Re: XCR Cleaning after shooting Czech Surplus 7.62x39

I sometimes get lazy after a hard day at the range killing paper targets. On my most recent outing, I shot 150 rds, & didn't clean my XCR immediately after.

I locked it up in my el-cheapo green metal Gun Container.

A week goes by & I strip it down & inspect. No rust. No pitting.

So I gave it a good scrub with Bore Cleaner & applied a thin coating of CLP.

Anybody else have similar experiences?

Think of it as a controlled experiment. I never used boiling water, special cleaners or did it by the light of a full moon! Too many people are worried about this being a panic situation. When you get done shooting if you can't clean it IMMEDIATLY , no problem. Just don't store it indefinately without cleaning. Just my 2cents.

Mine is also misaligned and is the only issue I have with the rifle I was going to bring it up with Terra because I feel that this should fit perfectly.

It is actually a deliberate part of the design. It overlaps on the side with the charging slide, so the slid can never snag on the lower and screw up functionality. We did it on purpose. ;)

There you go... :D
