Robarms XCR FAQ post

Nice OD XCR-M Hunter709! I opted to go black and add OD furniture.

That looks sick! Especially with the colored lettering. How'd you do it?

Nail polish. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WppcxSbWG0U

I've done it about 3 times, always works great. It's very durable too, won't come off easy, and looks a hell of a lot better than the crayon method.

Here is a more detailed shot of the lettering.[/url] For the red I did one coat of white first, to make it stand out.

I'm just wondering if anyone has ever had a problem with the upper popping open accidentally? Like while slung? Is it possible for the guts to just spill out if it accidentally get opened by that release tab?

Depends how you have it slung I guess haha. Barrel down and no guts will come out. Barrel up and it's possible.

I doubt this has ever happened to anyone though. it's a pretty good amount of spring pressure on it and it takes a fairly deliberate movement to open it.

And yes I do sling mine sometimes with a chest rig and it's never been caught up on the take down tab

Quick question, I have an xcr-l I baught used with the fast stock, adj. gas system but my serial number is xl0033XX does this mean it was an older gen with the newer parts? Im trying to sell it and would like to not look like a tool. Any info would be great, im going to read through here a bit but im just trying to get a for sure answer.
