The new trigger is a two stage design. The take up of the first stage is short and light; the second stage breaks very clean at 3lbs-4lbs I am guessing (I dont have a gauge to give an exact number). It blows away the standard Rock River 2-stage trigger and and has crisp parity with the LMT 2-stage I am fond of.
In terms of smoothness, it feels a hair better than the Robarm M96, which has a very good trigger out the box. The new trigger also has much less trigger slap, and lets out softly for controlled resets. There was little to no over travel after the break point.
Accuracy was good at 100 yards. Double taps at 25 yards had very little shift or stringing. The trigger broke clean using a finger tip press. Despite being brand spanking new, there was no grit or dragging feeling at all, which leads me to think the trigger will be even better after some break in.
