Roll sizer - Group Buy - GOAL ACHIEVED

This has piqued my interest, but I don't really know anything about roll sizing or the machine you are proposing to buy. Can someone explain it, in detail, to me. What can I resize with it? What would the cost be per person?
Thanks

Yes.
The machines are made by Roll Sizer in Australia and what this machines does, in a nutshell, is removing the bulge around the web of the case. The bulge exists in all pistol rounds but also 223 and 308.

The idea behind it is to promote reliability while reducing liabilities of reloading high pressure rounds. By removing the bulge and bringing the case back to saami spec, you are extending the life of the brass and reducing and perhaps eliminating the risk of head separation, which typically occurs when the brass is bulged.

That is in a nutshell what it does.

They make 3 different machines:
1 manual that can also be automated with a drill
1 that has a motor (same as above just replacing the drill but geared differently)
1 commercial

For pricing please refer to Roll Sizer dot com and understand the different machines you will find more bibliography there too (main page).

Make sure things are priced in US dollars. Calculate exchange rates and custom fees.
Machines will be shipped to Ottawa and I will ship again from within. All these costs are on the buyer.

Once we reach 10 machines you will get 25% off your machine

good idea but have some comments meant to help the process and not to hinder it

for Alberta folks the hat paid by you will be added to the Alberta folks correct, not a big deal but they should know so you don’t get into a heated discussion about 40 bucks

secondly at the border be careful how you explain it to Canada customs if they think it is a commercial venture it used to be different paperwork and through a broker if they are in a bad mood

just trying to help, I would get one just to,help those who cannot seem to help themselves but I don’t have time to assist everyone

good idea and folks should jump on board and sell the machine in 10 years when they move onto something else and recover most of their initial cost

All valid points, thanks for sharing your thoughts. Yes I am considering these issues and shipping options will be considered once we reach the goal.
We will explore the different scenarios once we determine what is going where. We are not there yet, however I am personally leaning towards a case by case.
This has been brought up to Rollsizer and it is ti be discussed

I’ve received a few messages about payments concerns.
Payment will be done directly by the buyer to roll sizer.

Once we have 10 orders(5 more to go) I will contact each one of you and provide instructions on how to do proceed with payment. Only the people on the list that will be handed to rollsizer by myself will receive the discount.

We got some momentum, talk to friends who might be interested! We are very close!

We are at 5 machines.

We can wait to get 10 machines and increase the discount to 25%

Or

We can go ahead now and get 15% off.

Please write your comment here.

Perfect.

No, it won’t stay a project, I will order one too, so whatever the case might be we will always get a break.

I was only asking due to my original promise of ordering at the end of last month.

In the big scheme of things 15 vs 25 % off isnt a deal breaker for me but 25% IS CERTAINLY GREAT :) considering the time of the year i.e. there wont be a lot of activity unti the spring AND you guys wanting to wait then let’s wait.

Ok, In an effort to move this along, feel free to share this in other forums, always directing them here.

Examples: IPSC specific to each province. I will post in IPSC ontario soon.
