yea it's a lot of money without being sure of what it is. More than what i paid for SA 20It is a standard BCG with a laser etched logo. I've already asked for more details pics and he pretty much refused to send any. Insisted I arranged for my FFL to bid on my behalf as he won't accept valid GB Canadian users to bid, even though it is totally within the rules. I've bought off GB several times without issue. This guy just won't play ball.
I was hoping to get pics of the front sight block, barrel markings and the rear of the upper receiver rail to verify the upper's origins but was denied.
Its got auto parts, otherwise the selector wouldn't rotate to auto. I noticed that as well, WW.
I'd like to know the story behind this one. I can't remember where I got this pic, sorry.
Auto parts alone do not make a full auto gun. A full auto select lever will do that in a semi auto gun. As well most of us here run full auto bolt carrier groups.
Let's keep this about the proper diemaco and Colt Canada lowers eh. Not the knockoffs.
Harry Callahan, those are better pics than my original ones. I'll bump them up to the top.
Will work on that. The older carriers have the devtec stamped on the side. The newer ones have CC on the side. The bolts have either MPD or MPCC.
Colt Canada bolts have the gas keys staked at an angle rather than perpendicular to the bore:[/img]
Sure, but the dead give away is the D or CC stamped into the carrier itself.
IIRC there's a few carriers out there that were made under contract and didn't get stamped.
So those are contract carriers. Given this is a "Diemaco and Colt Canada" roll mark thread, they kinda don't apply, as they are missing the roll marks.
I meant carriers that were made by Colt Canada for someone else; like the Chinese-contract Inglis Brownings.
They would still be D or CC marked. Like the carriers that ended up with the Colt Defense contract builds. They are marked.
Alright. Just curious, if you know it all already, why make a thread asking for more Diemaco/CC identifying marks?
Maybe a few pics of the other side with forge marks would be interesting. For example, all the RCMP carbines I've handled so far have Cerra keyhole forge marks, designating made in 'Murica. Are all CC's outsourced lowers? Are any made here at all? Interesting to me as it designates a supply weakness in war time.
