Rollmarks: Colt Canada - Diemaco Lowers

Its got auto parts, otherwise the selector wouldn't rotate to auto. I noticed that as well, WW.

I'd like to know the story behind this one. I can't remember where I got this pic, sorry.

It is a standard BCG with a laser etched logo. I've already asked for more details pics and he pretty much refused to send any. Insisted I arranged for my FFL to bid on my behalf as he won't accept valid GB Canadian users to bid, even though it is totally within the rules. I've bought off GB several times without issue. This guy just won't play ball.

I was hoping to get pics of the front sight block, barrel markings and the rear of the upper receiver rail to verify the upper's origins but was denied.
yea it's a lot of money without being sure of what it is. More than what i paid for SA 20

Auto parts alone do not make a full auto gun. A full auto select lever will do that in a semi auto gun. As well most of us here run full auto bolt carrier groups.

Let's keep this about the proper diemaco and Colt Canada lowers eh. Not the knockoffs.

Yes, I know that...and hey, it is a Diemaco!

I did some looking around, and this looks like its a made up custom engraved clone, so your right. Looks cool, tho!

Twin CC/Diemaco lowers.

While there are really not much for roll marks, I thought I'd add the Colt Defense / Diemaco M16a2/a3 LMG versions up top. The barrels are Diemaco, and you can import the uppers. There are a couple uppers in Canada already and they will function on a semi auto lower and typical AR mags.

Alright. Just curious, if you know it all already, why make a thread asking for more Diemaco/CC identifying marks?

To pass on information for others to reference, and to learn about things I don't know, and pass on information to those that don't know things I, or others might know.

Like Colt Canada/Diemaco marks their carriers for their outsourced contract builds to companies like Colt Defense. I'm not being a d!ck, I'm just telling you what I know.

The end goal is to help people know what to look for to source parts, or to finish clone builds, or just to know something cool about something they might be interested in.

In reality, having an off angle staked gas key isn't much of a concrete manufacture marking. Any other company may do the same. That alone wouldn't signify a CC or D manufactured carrier. A roll mark would.

Maybe a few pics of the other side with forge marks would be interesting. For example, all the RCMP carbines I've handled so far have Cerra keyhole forge marks, designating made in 'Murica. Are all CC's outsourced lowers? Are any made here at all? Interesting to me as it designates a supply weakness in war time.

That is interesting. I'm still waiting on someone to provide pictures of the RCMP marked lowers, either side. All other Diemaco / Colt Canada lowers I've seen have no Cerro Forge markings. Some of the uppers do have had the Anchor Harvey or Cerro forge marking though.

Edit... There ya go. Nato code on upper, along with Cerro Forge marking on upper and near the trigger. I believe this is one of the SA15.7 or SA20 models.

I assume it is like most manufactures, buy the raw forgings and do the finishing work.
