Hey everybody.

I saw the RONI glock conversion kit over a year ago, and I was impressed. Some guys don't like it, and are not interested, so if you're one of those guys, feel free to not post in this thread.

I'm one of the guys that likes his stuff to be Tacticool, so the RONI appealed to me right away. The thing that didn't appeal to me was the ridiculous price. I researched it at WOlverine Tactical and I believe they were selling it at $399 plus shippping and possibly tax. Wolverine was following suit with all other dealers, and I couldn't find anyone anywhere else that sells them cheaper.

So I didn't buy it.

Well anyways, I discovered the RONI supposedly by a company called "Wii". It's supposedly designed for airsoft only. (Glock replica)

It's $125 dollars plus shipping. I bought one. I figured I would either be out $125 if it didn't work, or I would save myself around $350 to $400 depending on shipping and taxes if I bought the "Real deal"

Well people, this works.
I bought it, assembled it, and installed the Glock 17, and shot 100 rounds through it today.

You can see it here:

Here are some pics of it:

So anyways, here is the kicker IMO. This company "Wii" that is supposedly the manufacturer does not have a Wii logo on the piece. In fact, the logo that is on there is "EMA Tactical". Well guess what people? EMA tactical is no longer in business.
These RONI conversion kits are now being made by "CAA Tactical".

It hit me today, that when I was originally drooling over these, they were made by EMA tactical, in fact there are still EMA videos on youtube about the RONI.
Now it's made by CAA?

I would guess that EMA manufactured a bunch of these, and then when they either went out of business or they got bought out by CAA, and CAA started making them, I suppose that CAA didn't want them floating around in the market with an EMA logo on it.

So I would guess that they decided to sell the older overstock to airsoft distros to get them off the firearms market. So I am of the opinion that these are real and actual RONI coversion kits, designed for power-powered Glock firearms, manufactured by the original manufacturer, with an old company logo, being sold off at a quarter of the price.

All I know is I shot it today, no issues, and in fact I have bought another one tonight, and I am going to buy a Glock 22 to go with it.

(Or, if anyone want's to do a trade, I will trade a Taurus OSS .40 cal in dessert tan for a Glock 22 Gen 3. The Taurus has had about a 1000 rounds put through it.)

I have no ties to the business that I posted above, but that is who I bought mine through. I just wanted to share this, because it makes me sick that a company can manufacture a piece of plastic (Polycarbon) and charge $400 for it.

I was looking at the KPOS and it's the same price. Total rip off. So, anyways, There you have it.

Will the Wii Roni work with a real Glock?
Yes, the Wii Roni will work with a real Glock.

Very cool, been looking at these type of kits for a bit but like you it was way, way too pricey to muck with.

Well now we are gonna try it out at a fraction of the cost. One black kit ordered. Looks like not a lot of stock left either. 3 black and 2 tan kits left in stock.

Not affiliated with this store, just a heads-up for other Gear Whores like myself ;)

These roni kits make a pistol complicated.... U will not be any more efficuent then you would be just with the pistol. I wanted one but in reality these kits offer no improvements.

That's not correct. I have one and mounted a red dot on it, lot's of fun, you have a carbine now, not a pistol anymore.

Corrected, sold out now, can't say that I didn't bite - a lot cheaper compared to the $400 I paid for my first kit but that's history now since they are sold out.

Can flip them around and sell on the EE for $250 or 300.

Thank you wakeness.

Well guys, I was talking to the guy when I was ordering, and he is going to get more when her sells out his stock.

Looks like you guys made that happen! Good stuff!

So when I get my new one in the mail, I will make a tutorial on how to assemble it. It comes in a box with NO instructions, so you have to figure it out yourself. I will post an assembly slideshow online and link it in this thread. I'm glad you guys appreciated the OP.

Cheers!

I had one before and it was relatively well-made, very solid and got a heft to it. Sold it because it wasn't ergonomically comfortable for me (I've got a big frame and the LOP is just way too short), but was fun and was a cheap "SBR" that holds 10 rounds. Plus, it was $350~400 bucks, which was too expensive for something like this.

I wish there was a way to verify that these are made with the same material as the real RONIs. The logos are good indicators, but airsoft manufacturers are known to make realistic replicas of the real things, down to the logos and rollmarks. Sounds like an amazing deal if they are indeed the same thing. Otherwise, I'd be wary about using "polymer" airsoft parts on real firearms (lots of stories of airsoft Magpul replicas breaking on AR15s, just couldn't withstand the recoil).

From my understanding of the RONIs, they were designed and made by EMA Tactical, an Israeli company, and CAA Tactical was the importer/business partner. CAA bought out/merged with EMA recently, but still carry the RONI name and product line.

I wouldn't mind picking up one of these again for $125, if we can somehow figure out where the stock came from... you guys think CAA will respond to our email inquiries? :)

Best post all year. A buck twenty five. And it's the same crap, so-called "air-soft." Sorry, but the RONI is crap but hey, I'd play for a buck twentyfive...well, maybe... . I'd rather learn to shoot my gd'ed side arm as it should be done without this crap and leave the rest to my rifle. Ronis, real or otherwise are stupid toys.

No need for your ####ty attitude. That's why I said in the OP that haters can GTFO.

No one asked you to like the conversion kit, but I know I do.

????

How so?

Now with the ability of scopes/reddots, not to mention a folding stock, vertical grips this is easy to place distance shots with. Shooting 100y gongs will be a ton of fun now.

Looks good!!!!!
