OK, I've seen literature, diagrams, old photographs, and small arms manuals, showing the sight hood situated both ways, ie. slant towards chamber, and slant towards muzzle.
I also just attended the Military Museum of PPCLI, KOCR, CH, LSH, and I observed about 8 Ross rifles, with about 50/50 each way. I know sometimes museums aren't that particular about stuff like that, but thought I would check anyway.
Does anyone have anything definitive to say and show which way the sight hood should go on?
