RPD or similar?

Who is building the M53?
Well that'd be me. But my point was investing in a non-approved firearm in hopes of getting an FRT for it on an individual basis privately (rather than waiting for dealers to bring in a lot). Risked with uncertain approval, but you get to be envied among the fellow gun nuts for your unobtanium ;)
Sorry for the mis-interpretation, i am not importing a pre-built M53. Although if i were to, a company BRP Corp does build all new receivers, and do not weld on the original barrel shrouds. I am using a design based on theirs that i found on the internet.

anything with a belt is gping to be PERCIEVED as a machine gun whether it is or not- then they'll do their damndest to MAKE IT SO
the only reason that the 1919 et al semis are available is because they've been proven to be semis only and the batf in the states has PROVEN they CANNOT BE CONVERTED- and the court challange has already been won- kind of like kicking a dead horse- and they don't want to take it all the way to the scoc

There fixed it for ya.

Last I heard the U.S available semi auto RPD' cycle rate was limited to around 150 RPM. which is about 90 RPM slower than someone can fire a 'lighter' trigger semi auto. But dont quote me on that.

Given the ability of the FRT lab to simply say no, at any time, even after saying yes, combined with the large engineering task, and the fact that no factories build the RPD, that is a no, for now at least.

there is a difference between "yes these pictures look ok, here's your FRT#" and "yes after months of trying our best to make this F%(%$#NG thing go full auto, we can't so here's is your FRT"

Sorry, I don't really understand. Are you implying something, or just making a comment?
