If nothing else it's good to see some pics.

I wondering, which would be a better mount location for a red dot optic- a picatinny rail on the higher or lower part of the top cover? I have some free time and a spare top cover to play with. Any input from ones who have shouldered this firearm would be appreciated.

I asked Walter about a spare top cover/picatinny rail type setup and he's looking into it I believe. I fired them from the bench only, fully loaded the rifle has a fair amount of heft.
 
Well I for one am happy I didn't get mine yet. I woke up to a flooded town and a foot and a half of water in my basement so I have a few wet guns.
